Welcome.

This site is a guide to the people, places and cultures of The Chronicles of Tyria - a series of novels for young adults by Beaulah Pragg. At the moment, only the first book The Silver Hawk is available to buy, but she is currently working on the sequels. There are some spoilers for the Silver Hawk on this site, so I would definitely recommend reading the book before exploring here.

Meet the Characters

There is a huge cast of characters in The Silver Hawk, each with extensive backgrounds and House alliances. This wiki has full profiles of the major characters, interviews about their backstories, and commissioned artwork by the lovely Catherine Karcher (the actor pictures are placeholders for future art).

Mikael Maat

Maat and Mikael are the Narian twins sent to study Tyria. Their 'boredom' with their assignment leads them to begin watching and interferring in the natural evolution of the humans on the planet's surface.

The Human Protagonists
TasyaFace TynanFace JuliFace KamFace
Tasya Tynan Princess Juliana Kamron of Varna

Tasya and Tynan are twins, genetically modified before birth by Mikael to carry a small amount of his Narian DNA. This gives them a psychic connection and powers far superior to normal human magicians. They were separated at a young age after their mother was killed. Tasya now serves her people by protecting and spying on the Princess Juliana. She hopes one day to free her brother who is being held captive by the Priestesses of the Order.
Juliana is the last heir to the Empire and has been blind since birth. She does her best to walk the thin line between loyalty to the Order and taking a more common-sense approach focused on the needs of her people. At the centre of every Lady's scheme for grabbing power, Juliana still manages to hold onto her humility and hopefulness.
Kamron is the orphan son of Lady Mira of Varna. He and his child-like older sister Chitsi were taken in by Lady Vivienne of Heath after his mother was murdered. He is both handsome and reserved. His main concern is caring for his sister, but in a world ruled by women, he is unable to speak his mind and must follow Vivienne's orders to court the Princess.
